Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange Celebrate Clients and Partners in Québec

September 19, 2016 (TORONTO and MONTRÉAL) – Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV), Canada's leading equity markets, today announced they will host ceremonies to open and close the market from Montréal this week to celebrate important milestones for Québec-based clients and partners, and to increase visibility of public markets within the province's financial ecosystem.

As at August 31, 2016, there were 203 Québec-based companies listed on both TSX and TSXV, with a combined market capitalization of $390 billion.

All ceremonies will take place at Tour de la Bourse, 800 Victoria Square, Montréal Exchange Auditorium in Montréal, Québec.

Monday, September 19 Market Open (9:30 a.m.): CAE Inc. (celebrating 55 years listed on TSX)
Tuesday, September 20 Market Open (9:30 a.m.): Power Corporation of Canada (celebrating 80 years listed on TSX)
Market Close (4:00 p.m.): NATIONAL Public Relations & NATIONAL Equicom (celebrating 40th anniversary)
Wednesday, September 21 Market Open (9:30 a.m.): TMX Equity Capital Markets
Market Close (4:00 p.m.): Québec Bourse (launch celebration)
Thursday, September 22 Market Open (9:30 a.m.): TSX Venture Exchange
Market Close (4:00 p.m.): Montréal Exchange
Friday, September 23 Market Close (4:00 p.m.): Centraide Canada (launching a new fundraising campaign)

For Market Openings: Media may pick up a feed from the TOC (television operations centre) for all market open ceremonies. The feed is named TSX Transmit 1 (SD-SDI) and is produced at the TMX Broadcast Centre and sent live to the TOC. The client moves into position for the market open ceremony at approximately 9:27 a.m. ET and the markets will open with the sound of a siren (the traditional market open on Toronto Stock Exchange) at 9:30 a.m. ET.

For Market Closings: Media may pick up a feed from the TOC (television operations centre) for all market close ceremonies. The feed is named TSX Transmit 1 (SD-SDI) and is produced at the TMX Broadcast Centre and sent live to the TOC. The client moves into position for the market close ceremony at approximately 3:57 p.m. ET and the markets will close with the sound of a siren (the traditional market close on Toronto Stock Exchange) at 4:00 p.m. ET.
