TMX Operational Notice
TMX External Disaster Recovery Functionality Test
Reminder - Please be advised that TMX will be conducting an Industry-wide External Disaster Recovery Functionality Test on Saturday, October 15, 2022. This notice details the sequence of events during the Disaster simulation. It also provides information on registration and contact information.

*Please note, times within the schedule are approximate. Notifications will be communicated to test participants as the exercise moves through the scheduled phases.
Pre-Failover:
Starting at 7:00 am EST, the Primary site (MCC) will be up and running and participants will be able to engage in connectivity.
Disaster Simulation and Recovery:
At approximately 8:45 am EST, TMX will abruptly interrupt the trading complex and POP access will also be interrupted. In consequence, the primary site will be isolated by a network failover.
Post-Failover:
Between 9:00 am - 11:00 am EST, TMX will have switched over to the backup location in Toronto (DR site known as TCF).
• During the test, TMX Participants will be able to connect to the TMX Production network (IP & ports) from their Disaster Recovery (DR) environment. TMX Participants must be in a position to maintain their connectivity to the TMX from TCF.
• Participants will not be required to make network, DNS, or IP changes in order to connect to the TMX DR site during the tests.
• Participants will be able to provide bids and offers on active Test Symbols (11:00 am).
If required, the TMX Group support staff will be on-site and available to assist, in addition, please provide your email to TMX Market Operations if you are participating in the DR testing.

(3). Market Data Feeds unavailable at TSX DR site:
• All TMX IP feeds: CDF, CBBO, CLS, and CDB
• All "B" feeds for example: TBF-21B, TQL2-11B, TL1-11B
Overview:
Clients will experience a loss of network connectivity on circuits to TMX's primary data centre during the test. Network connectivity is anticipated to be restored at approximately 11:00 pm EST on Saturday, October 15th. A notice will be sent to the street when the test is over and normal operations have resumed.
During the External DR tests, client participation is permitted and encouraged.
Notifications will be communicated to test participants as the exercise moves through the scheduled phases. Please provide your email to TMX Market Operations if you are participating in the DR testing and want to be included in these notifications.
