TMX Operational Notice
TMX Disaster Recovery Network Connectivity Test
In addition to the Disaster Recovery Dates for 2021 announced February 18th - Operational Notice 2021-008, TMX will be facilitating a pre-connectivity test to be held on Saturday, September 11th 2021 in relation to the TMX, IIROC and FIA External Disaster Recovery Test that is scheduled for October 23rd 2021.
The purpose of the pre-connectivity test is to provide clients the opportunity to establish and confirm network connectivity to the Toronto Computing Facility (TCF) DR data centre.
TMX will simulate a "disaster" at the primary data centre and failover TMX's primary trading and market data feed delivery systems to backup systems at the TCF DR site.
This activity is intended for clients to confirm DR site network connectivity. Clients are advised to verify using telnet to Unicast destinations (OE sessions; Feed Recovery Sessions). TMX does not support PING and therefore cannot be used for verification.
Participants can test Pre-Connectivity with the following services:

As long as testing is conducted between 10:00 am to 1:00 pm ET, no testing appointments are required.
TMX Market Operations will be available for support during the test. Participants are asked to advise the Technical Support Desk by phone or email once they have successfully completed connectivity testing.
