TMX Equity Trading Notice
Amendments to Long Life Order Type Approval and Implementation
TMX Equities Trading is pleased to announce that TSX Venture Exchange ("TSXV") has received regulatory approval from each of the British Columbia Securities Commission & Alberta Securities Commissions for its proposed amendments to the "Long Life" order type, as described in Equities Notice 2024-025. The amendments aim to enhance the flexibility and applicability of the Long Life order type, ensuring it effectively serves its purpose across a broader range of trading scenarios.
The Amendments is currently available in our test environment and is scheduled to be available in production environment of the Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange effective January 13, 2025.
Amendments to the Long Life order type on Toronto Stock Exchange were previously approved by the Ontario Securities Commission as set out in Equities Notice 2024-033.
