TMX Markets Operating Schedule for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
The Canadian Government has recently passed Bill C-5 thereby creating a National Day for Truth and Reconciliation to be observed on September 30 starting in 2021. This will be a statutory holiday for employees in the federal government and federally regulated workplaces.
TMX Markets is advising all clients that the Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange, and TSX Alpha Exchange will be open for trading on National Day of Truth and Reconciliation and regular operating hours will be in effect. As this holiday is considered a non-settlement day, an updated settlement schedule will be provided closer to the holiday.
The Bourse de Montreal Inc (Bourse) is advising Approved Participants (AP) that fixed income derivatives markets will be closed in observance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30 2021. The Bourse's equity derivatives will be open as per the normal schedule.
TMX Group is planning a market ceremony in observance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. More details will be provided in a future announcement
