TSX Canada Market Open Series

TSX Canada Market Open Series kicked off with a market open celebration at The Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia where it all began 125 years ago for High Liner Foods Incorporated (TSX:HLF). The company has been listed on the TSX for over 50 years, and it was a great opportunity to celebrate such amazing milestones. The ceremony was attended by several high profile guests including executives from the company, tenured board members, and Honourable Susan Corkum-Greek, Minister of Economic Development and MLA, Lunenburg.

TSX Canada Market Open Series

The Series ended with a second market open ceremony at Nova Scotia Health Innovation Hub, celebrating Nova Scotia Life Sciences companies listed on TSX and TSXV and recognizing the Nova Scotia Innovation Hub for its excellence in health research and innovation in Atlantic Canada. The ceremony was graced by Honourable Allan MacMaster, Deputy Premier, Nova Scotia.

TSX Canada Market Open Series was a great experience to bring to Atlantic Canada, and to commend our TSX and TSXV listed issuers in the region for their enormous contributions to Canadian capital markets. It gave us the opportunity to engage with market participants and connect with our issuers.

Canadian securities regulators propose semi-annual financial reporting pilot

The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) announced a proposed multi-year pilot to allow eligible venture issuers to voluntarily adopt semi-annual financial reporting (the SAR Pilot). The SAR Pilot would provide an exemption for certain venture issuers listed on the TSX Venture Exchange Inc. (TSXV) or the CNSX Markets Inc. (CSE) from the requirement to file first and third quarter financial reports under National Instrument 51-102 Continuous Disclosure Obligations.
