CPA Canada Fall Launch – Reimbursement Language and Communication

To provide clarity and certainty for CPAs in Ontario and Quebec that their CPA Canada fees will continue to be covered by employers.

With the regulators in Quebec and Ontario withdrawing from CPA Canada on December 20, 2024, CPAs in these provinces will no longer be part of the national body after that date. CPA Canada has made changes to ensure that CPAs in both provinces can continue to be part of CPA Canada, maintaining access to the information, advocacy, and benefits.

As part of CPA Canada's communications on the launch of this new model for CPAs in Ontario and Quebec, we are conducting substantial outreach, beginning in early September, to inform members of new options available to them and what they need to do to stay part of CPA Canada.

We recognize that members in both withdrawing provinces have many questions, and our objective is to reduce uncertainty, provide clear direction, and avoid any confusion.

Reimbursement of CPA Canada fees

As you may be aware, CPA Ontario and CPA Quebec are withdrawing from the national body, CPA Canada, effective December 20, 2024. We believe that both CPA Canada and the provincial CPA bodies serve crucial, yet distinct roles in our profession. We support CPA Canada as they transition to a national member-based organization that will represent Canadian CPAs and enhance the relevance and value of our profession.
