PDAC's Social Impact of Mineral Development Projects in Indigenous Communities

As the consultants for this study, SOOP identified and analyzed anticipated impacts and subsequent increased demands on social infrastructure within host Indigenous communities in proximity to mineral development projects in Canada. Study findings established a set of practical strategies mineral resource development companies can exercise to improve, mitigate or manage their social impacts on host communities. The study was compiled from extensive desktop research, first hand interviews with Indigenous community members and was overseen by PDAC's Indigenous Advisory panel.

Canadian securities regulators propose semi-annual financial reporting pilot

The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) announced a proposed multi-year pilot to allow eligible venture issuers to voluntarily adopt semi-annual financial reporting (the SAR Pilot). The SAR Pilot would provide an exemption for certain venture issuers listed on the TSX Venture Exchange Inc. (TSXV) or the CNSX Markets Inc. (CSE) from the requirement to file first and third quarter financial reports under National Instrument 51-102 Continuous Disclosure Obligations.
