RAPPEL: Essai de connectivité réseau externe de TMX pour reprise après sinistre

Please note that TMX will be conducting a TMX External Disaster Recovery (DDR) Network Connectivity Test on Saturday , September 14, 2024. The connectivity test is intended to allow customers to establish and confirm their network connectivity to the Toronto Data Centre (TCF) DDR data centre.

TMX will conduct a disaster simulation at the Primary Data Centre (MCC), followed by a failover of the primary trading and market data dissemination systems to backup systems at the TCF RAS site.

Customers will experience disruption to network connectivity on circuits to the 3500 Steeles Ave. Markham data center during the test. Any alerts generated should be suppressed or ignored. Network connectivity is expected to be restored by 11:00 PM ET on Saturday, September 14.

A notification will be sent after the trial when normal operations have resumed.

This activity is organized so that customers can verify their network connectivity to the RAS site. Customers are requested to validate their connectivity to the unicast destination addresses (order entry or data retrieval session) via Telnet and/or login. TMX does not support the PING utility, so it cannot be used for this validation.

Further RAS trials are planned as follows.

• A RAS test of the external function is planned for Saturday, October 5, 2024.

*During external RAS trials, customer participation encouraged.

Notifications will be provided to participants as planned trial milestones are completed. Please forward your email to TMX Market Operations if you are participating in disaster recovery testing and would like to be included in these notifications.

**Please do not clear orders from production order queues  during the trial period**.
