Proposed Amendments to Introduce Dark Order types on Alpha Classic - Request for Comment
TMX Equities Trading is proposing to introduce certain undisplayed (or "dark") order types within the Alpha Classic order book on TSX Alpha Exchange ("Alpha"), as described in the Notice of Proposed Amendments and Request for Comments for Alpha published here. The proposed amendments seek to allow Alpha Classic to offer priced improved interaction while leveraging its existing inverted framework and order processing delay.
Alpha has filed an application with the Ontario Securities Commission relating to the proposed amendments. Participants are encouraged to provide their views and feedback on the proposed amendments. The public comment period ends on May 11, 2026.
The proposed amendments are expected to be implemented in Q3 2026, subject to regulatory approval.
