TMX Group Consolidated Trading Statistics – November 2015

December 3, 2015 (TORONTO) – TMX Group Limited today announced November 2015 trading statistics for its marketplaces – Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange, TMX Select, TSX Alpha Exchange (Alpha), Montréal Exchange (MX) and NGX.

In September 2015, TMX Group implemented significant changes to its equity offerings designed to improve the Canadian trading landscape and reduce market complexity. Effective September 21, 2015, Alpha introduced a transformative new trading model, which included a new set of trading rules and a new pricing schedule. Alpha now operates as an unprotected market under the Order Protection Rule. As part of TMX Group's changes, TMX Select ceased operation at the close of business September 18, 2015.

MX reached a new daily volume record on S&P/TSX 60 Index Options (SXO) on November 16, 2015 of 42,062 contracts. In addition, MX reached a new overall open interest record on November 19, 2015 of 6,928,399 contracts.
